Fifty-four children and adults call the HDC Residential Center their home. Located at 2700 Linwood Court in northwest Davenport, the Residential Center provides intensive services to individuals who experience significant mental and/or physical disabilities.

Individuals are encouraged to be as independent as possible and to develop their abilities to the extent they are capable. They receive assistance from staff members who provide speech, occupational, physical, and recreational therapies, instruction in areas of daily living and community experiences.

Everyone attends either school or work during the day, depending on their age.

People living at the Residential Center use the community for activities like shopping and haircuts, as well as trips to activities such as festivals, concerts, museums, and public parks.

Thanks to a grant from the Riverboat Development Authority, the Residential Center received new privacy curtains to meet fire safety code regulations.
