reading the newspaper in current events class Personal Independence Services provides individuals with severe and/or multiple disabilities a chance to attend classes, experience work, and learn skills.

Instructors conduct a variety of classes which people attend based on their interests and abilities. Classes include instruction in areas such as communication, grooming and personal hygiene, social skills, domestic responsibilities, current events, and much more. A Community Awareness class learns how to access the community by attending events and going to stores and other places in the community.
